School Council

What is it?

The School Council of Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School consists of two representatives of each class, from Reception to Year 6. The Council meets frequently to express views, organse events and make decisions. Their work is strengthened with the help of Mrs Moran.

Staff are always keen to know the views of our pupils.

Recent work has included:

  • arranging for improvements to the toilet facilities
  • organising and compering a wonderful Talent Show
  • organising our fabulous annual fundraising 'Pink Day' for Cancer Research UK
  • organising the Christmas Shoebox Appeal for the Samaritan's Purse charity organisation

All Key Stage 2 pupils completed a survey about their experiences of school. They are very happy with most things.

Mrs Briggs, one of our hard-working governors, came to chat to the school council about some areas they would like to improve.

Mrs Durkin would like to thank the school council for sharing their thoughts on the new marking scheme. Read what they had to say here.
