Homework

Usually your child will be set a piece Maths and English homework each week, related to what we have been learning in class. Your child should be able to tackle this work independently, but their may be times where they need some adult support. Sometimes their will be Science / Topic / RE homework sent out, but this will not happen every week.

Spellings will be given out on a Monday they should be taken home to be learnt and then the children will be tested on Friday morning.

A reading book will also be sent home weekly for your child on a Friday. It would be useful if you could read regularly with your child and date and sign their reading record book, a short comment would also be helpful. Reading books are due back in on a Thursday and will be changed, ready to be given out again the following Friday.

Children will be able to earn rewards for completing their work and bringing items in on time.

PE

P.E this term will take place on a Tuesday  so it is important your child has their kit in every day.

It is really important your child has correct PE kit for Health and Safety reasons.

Blue/Black shorts

White t-shirt

White socks

Pumps/trainers

Blue/Black jogging pants or leggings as the children may be doing outdoor PE this term.

Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings will need to be removed or have plasters put over them.

Your child will only need to bring their kit home during school holidays, therefore they will be prepared for every lesson.

Milk Money

You can also pay half termly or termly at the school office, but if you decide to do this please do pass a message on to the class teacher or another adult within the classroom so we are aware  your child should be having milk.
